Apple Updates
xlr8yourmac.com has some news on QuickTime 4.1 compatibility issues and Mac OS 9 Audio Update 1.2. There are reports that the software updates fix the DVD playback sound lips on G4 machines, but others note that it didn't help. And QT 4.1 seems to have some issues with a few games. I can wait.

Apple Quarter Profits
the register has a report on yesterday's announcement for Apple's profits in Q1 2000. Looks great.

IBM not so well?
the register also notes that IBM plans to increase their profits again. 1999 wasn't such a great year for them obviously. Their last Quarter (Q4) was good, the profits where higher than expected. Now it is about keeping up the good work.

RAM future
FiringSquad has an article talking about the future technologies coming for RAM chips. Next big thing will be PC-266 DDR SDRAM. And far away DDR II is lurking. FS was dwon for me here, so I link to 3dhardware, who links to FS again.
