New standard to kill DVD
Slashdot has news on a new method to store data. The new FMD.ROM that has been floating around the press for a while can hold up to 140GB on one disc at the moment, up to 1.4 Terrabytes may be possible. The Discs use a new Fluorescent material to store the data. And it's going to be fast...up to 1GB/sec...wow

MOSR discusses what we're going to see at the upcoming Mac events in Japan. MOSR thinks that we'll see a revised an faster iBook, speed bumped G4s with rev. 2.8 chips and finally the UMA Powerbook "Pismo" are going to show up. I'm really looking forward to those events.
