New 3D technology from ATI?

xlr8yourmac has problem reports and solutions for various hardware issues and more importantly a rumor that speculative processing is enabled again in the rev 2.9 G4 Sawtooth systems (I didn't know that was disabled in the earlier Sawtooths, due to the "errata" these chips had, I'm shocked) which would make sense (and would justify the new revision number).
Last but not least, ATI has now announced an announcement for a new 3D hardware technology set to be held at GDC sometime on March 10-11. The new engine promises some tenfold speed increase over today's technologies etc...I wonder what is really up to it. Oh, and there will be Mac versions (did someone wake up there?). the register has more for you. Interesting indeed.

Apple Expo Paris

the register notes that Apple has renamed the Apple Expo Paris to Macworld Europe, being the last big event in Europe where Apple actually takes part. After a lot of fuss around cutting and glueing on Apple's strategy in Europe, this only makes sense. Also, I hope this might bring a few of the bigger announcements to Europe finally.
