Various

xlr8yourmac has a positive report on a G4/450 card working fine in a 9500, some tips for Voodoo3 and RailroadTycoon and various other notes.

Other notes

Shugashack has news on Diablo 2 and Quake 3 Fortress (Q3F, new patch released) as well as a note that Microsoft is not only playing dirty against competition, but also against their own employees, of which many are treated as temporary workers, yet are being employed for years. Surprise?

Poor NASA

the register notes that NASA is probably one of the most hacked places in the world, with hackers even putting human lives at risk, well kind of anyway. Funny thing these guys can't secure their nets.

More mouse and keyboard news

the MacObserver breaks its motto and reports on speculation. ZDnet is reporting that Apple is indeed going to show a new mouse and keyboard at MacWorld NY. The design and functional approach are expected to be rather outstanding. Hopefully they will also be better accepted by the public.
AppleInsider knows more and has some 3D model pictures showing some prototypes. Two things to say: Go there fast to see them, Apple is probably about to sue AppleInsider once again and DAMN THEY'RE UGLY! Hopefully they turn out to be practical at least.

1GHz shootout

FiringSquad has a direct comparison of a 1GHz Thunderbird and an 1GHz Coppermine machine running several benchmarks. As far as I could see, the AMD and the Intel chip both have their strenghts, but at least in Q3, the P3 is the winner..
