Ultra cheap MP3 chip

Eet.com notes that Irish company Parthus has developed a new single chip solution for MP3 players/decoders. The chip has a silicon cost of only 5$. Creative Labs has already licensed the technology.

MGL news

MGL has some good news in the aftermath of MWNY. For example Graeme Devine is adding SMP support to Quake 3, which might give the MP G4's quite a boost (maybe not, I don't know). Just read what they note, also stuff on Diablo 2, that you might not be very happy about.

RADEON was planned?

xlr8yourmac has gotten some new hints that an ATI RADEON BTO deal might indeed have been planned, as Apple obviously forgot to cut out all the RADEON related text of their page for the PowerMacs. Damn, Steve, don't make a foolish move with ATI now. (as they are getting good)
