Shugashack notes that current rumors around Transmeta include that they might be planning to buy out AMD (yes, you read right). According to analysts, their company stock value might be high enough to buy the giant out. This would of course make sense, after Transmeta has bought back their technology licenses from IBM and Toshiba and has decided to market their chips alone as a fabless company. Needless to say that AMD would supply plenty of fabs to work with.
