xlr8yourmac.com has, unlike me, been posting a lot of stuff yesterday. I got swamped at school and I simply had no time for an update. Then before I went to bed it came to my mind that I had missed ALL THE APPLE EXPO PARIS ANNOUNCEMENTS. I was furious. Luckily, clicking on the link above, you can read what Mike Breeden wrote yesterday. Here are today's news.
Anandtech has a preview of an Athlon running on a 760 chipset Motherboard using DDR-SDRAM as system memory. Performance improve isn't exactly breathtaking yet though.
Apple Expo wrap-up ala G-News
As usual, I'm wrapping things up a bit, trying to provide a link for each bit. The announcements and releases were:
MOSR has news on Mac OS X requirements as well as on the iBooks that obviously do feature that new IBM G3 chip, according to the specs listed on Apple's pages. Why they didn't promote that new feature is a mystery to me, but Apple's been known to fail at promoting stuff quite often.
AppleInsider claims that the PowerBook G4 is nearing completion with a few minor changes to other parts (casing). However the article notes bigger harddrives, and the G3 PowerBooks just got that a day ago, so I guess the harddrives will be even bigger in the PB G4s.
