Get flamed and toast back with a flamer
Tech-Report proves how intelligent their writers are by posting this article. Obviously they got some flames from a few uninformed (and probably 12 year old) Mac users who laughed at the Pentium 4, because it doesn't seem to be much if any faster than the Athlon and P3 at the moment. Of course this is only a question of time. So the guy who read those flames really did get excited and thought "now I'm going to flame back". Interesting how one stupid piece pf text can provocate and equally stupid piece of text, especially when referring to stupid pieces text. Now I don't want to hold you of reading it yourself. Just don't make the mistake to get excited.

More Apple retail sites
the register. notes that Apple is now also going to open a retail site in Chicago. The effect of those "apple-owned" stored remains yet to be seen. I guess it's mainly going to piss off current resellers.

Updated P4 benches
the register has posted some first benchmarks of the Pentium 4 chip tested with SySoft Sandra 2001 (beta, not public at the moment). Obviously the support for SSE2 and other new technologies gives the P4 quite a push forward. Maybe we're all going to have a few surprises with that chip yet.
