Mac OS X in February?

ZDnet notes that Apple may be releasing Mac OS X 1.0 on February 24. next year. They (ZDnet) are pretty confident, that this is going to be the case, if you ask me, that's a bit early yet, but that's just me, the old pessimist. The sooner the ship it, the better for Apple.
the register also heard of the story.

MRAM coming in 2004

the register has some more R&D news from IBM. They dug up a 1970 technology (at least the idea) of using magnetic charges to store data in RAM. The benefits are much lower power consumption and keeping the information, even when there is no power to it. (non-volatile). It's thought to be faster too, btw. Let's hope this is not going to be another Rambus episode, and look forward to it.

MacWEEK writes something about the history of MultiProcessing (MP) on the Mac and in the Mac OS. Of course they also look forward to the SMP capabilities of Mac OS X.
