G-News goes online
Yes, for all of you who already miss Gamegear, here we come!
A funny story
At least for us Mac users. Michael Breeden over at www.xlr8yourmac.com has a funny story telling about his friends 1Ghz Kool Athlon and how they tried to get it working with a nVidia GeForce graphics card. If Michael hadn't had to post on his page, they'd still be trying:)
Intel and SDRAM
The register has an article talking about Intel and how it finally adopts SDRAM-standard RAM. According to the register, Intel will meet some important companies next year to discuss a successful promotion of PC-133 and DDR-SDRAM. RDRAM seems to fall back in interest worldwide.
Intel's 1Ghz far away
Also according to the register, Intel obviously can't meet its own deadlines. While early promises said as much as "1Ghz available in early 2000" it now rather looks like "1Ghz presentation in early 2000". And we all know what the difference between a presentation and availability is.
Apple reviews business year 1999
The Macintosh News Network has the summary of Apple's business performance in 1999. Unfortunately Apple will probably have to spend up to 10$ Million for Y2K issues, although Macs are all compliant. PCs lurk everywhere:) See also at MacWEEK
3 new Apple patents
As usual Mac3d.com has the latest patent reports for patents Apple has reserved. These 3 new patents seem to turn around GUI features.
According to some source over at slashdot.com, Palm might present the first Color Palm Handhelds in February next year. Finally a color gameboy that you can write on too:)
