Shugashack has a small wrap-up of important event in 2000. Of course it's out of a PC users view, but there's the usual platform independent stuff as well.
xlr8yourmac.com notes that Apple has dramatically cut prices on the G4 Towers. The new prices are 1299$, 1999$ and 2499$ now. Another note warns you about the download cache of IE 5.0 growing huge. One reader apparently had it grow to a whopping 1.8GB in size:)
Alpha is coming again
the register notes that insider sources claim that Compaq is about to launch EV7 Alpha chips running at 1GHz and above. Several other things seem to evolve quite nicely around that platform.
SharkyExtreme has put up a nice little guide that gives you some basic information about overclocking. They're even trying to remain platform independent:)
