CNET web alliance dissolves

Shugashack reported that CNET has apparently decided to dissolve their (big) web page alliance they had built up over time. Some sites of that alliance were: Stomped, GamersDepot, MSXBox and most importantly InsideMacGames (IMG). I guess someone will have to find different advertisers again. Good thing this cannot happen to me either.

Rambus forking on

the register notes that Rambus even got Mitsubishi to accept their blackmail licence payments. That pretty much leaves noone else left to sue. And these law dudes still think their screwed up licensing and sueing trip might save RDRAM. Betcha.

AMD mobile future is not very bright

the register has some news on AMD's mobile efforts and how it is (not) being accepted by the industry. You see, computing power is not everything that counts in the PC industry. Long live the PPC.

Dummy ads going on

the register also pointed that one out. You have surely already seen those Intel ads with those Blue Dummies (or Dumbholes, maybe), who try to get a job done and don't manage to even in a group of 3 (this is supposed to show off the horsepower of the Pentium 3 chip, don't you know?). Anyway, their new ads for the Pentium 4 are going to stick with those dummies and we can prepare our remote controls to switch channels again during the ad break.

3dfx interview

IMG has a snipped and a link to an interview with some 3dfx staffers, talking about why the company went down etc.
