X Windows for OS X

the register notes that the latest version of XFree86 software now also runs on Mac OS X (and Darwin), opening the X Windows door for Mac OS X for everyone. (If that is realy needed)

More open sourced Apple

the regiser also notes that Apple has widened their open source license for Darwin, apparently making a lot of people happy. Maybe that will spur Darwin development even more. Remember that everything that runs on Darwin, will also run on Mac OS X.

MOSR reacts to CNET's rumors from yesterday, telling a lot of true things about the G4e. However, the G4e will NOT lose any IPC (Instructions per Clockcycle), according to Motorola's spec sheet that you were linked at at xlr8yourmac.
Better news seems to be comeing from ATI, who are likely to bring the All-in-Wonder Radeon to the Mac.(at MWSF)

AppleInsider is all fuzzy about the new hardware that is going to be announced by Apple on Monday (?), however, I'm not so sure they're right in every aspect. It is, for example, unlikely that Apple only stick 128MB RAM into the top G4, when it already has 256 today...
