Sonnet hires Newer engies

xlr8yourmac linked me to a press release from Sonnet telling us that Sonnet has hired all former NewerTechnology engineers. Not only does that mean they are now no longer without work, it also means that Sonnet now hold the "IP" of all CPU upgrade card inventions to date and has doubled their workforce. Good going.

Matrox cards

MacObserver is about the only site that still reckons the existance of Matrox as a Mac graphics supplier. Working together with PowerMax, they got a new DualHead card out, basing on the G400 chipset and supporting two screens. Good thing is: you can now have 2 screens driven with only one AGP card. Bad thing is: that chipset has about the suckiest 3D performane in the world.

Some analysts have no clue

MacCentral clearly confirms this. I always thought the people working wioth and handling shares had to have some level of informedness and intelligence, but now that I read this article, I have started to doubt it. You know, Apple is the perfect PC hardware manufacturer, isn't it?

iMac to go G4?

AppleInsider claims they got a confirmation that only the sub 800$ entry level iMac will stick with the G3 CPU, all other models (the ones with CD-RW) will have G4 chips inside. Let's hope so.
