Content protection reaches new highs or lows

the register has some interesting news on all the debate about CPRM and all the other technologies that are being developed to stop people from copying content. Unfortunately, things are going in directions of "not copying anything anymore", not just the "illegal" stuff. What kind of hypocrite shit is this again?

Shipping delays again

MacCentral notes that both the new PowerBook as well as the high end PowerMacs G4 are having delays again. At least the delays are not caused by technical issues, but by shortage due to increasing demand. It sounded all nice at MWSF, but in fact announcing the high end PowerMacs wasn't justified. End or March for these things now, that's ridiculous.

Motorola in talks for more G4s

AppleInsider notes that Motorola is in talks with IBM to once again help them produce G4 chips, as their yields are still terribly poor. (Which is nothign new at all). If IBM can help Motorola build G4 chips again, and if IBM has better yields, we might get more speed boosts as the year passes.

Radeon PCI shipping

MGL and IMG report that first users have gotten their Radeon PCI card. I wanted to review one of these and asked ATI for a sample quite some time ago, but I haven't heard from them since they asked me to send a profile. Heck I'd have written a review for about 3 major websites out there and they were not interested. No wonder nVidia is taking over their business more and more.
