Radeon vs GeForce 2 MX test
xlr8yourmac has managed to get a GeForce2 MX from a 2001 G4 owner to test in the earlier G4 500 MP system with AGP 2x slot. Of course the Radeon was also tested for you to compare. GeForce clearly wins in 640x480 and 800x600. The cards are on par in 1024x768 and beyond that the Radeon is the clear winner. Interesting, check it out.
MacWEEK had someone take a closer look at Apple's new colors "Flower Power" and "Blue Dalmatian" and they find the machine look much better in real life than they do on pictures. I went out to take a look at the machines on Friday too and a local retailer already had one of each color on display and I must say that Flower Power is actually quite nice, while I prefered Blue Dalmatian on pictures. In the end I'd say both colors are by far not as bad as everyone thought.
Last Carmack post on this topic
MacCentral has summed up all the posts on Slashdot and all the .plan updates John Carmack made these days. While this stuff is certainly nothing new, the comments from several readers might be interesting. Have a look.
Hopefully last GeForce 3 post
IMG has some more interesting things fro the conference call with nVidia, talking about GeForce3 features and Mac implementation (again). Sounds good to me.
