More 733 news
xlr8yourmac has two new interesting and also important notes on the G4 733 PowerMacs. Seems that Mac OS 9.1 is in fact the problem, and not the benchmarking tools. Well, Apple better do fix that quickly or the G4 533 will turn out to be faster then the 733:) Read on for explanations.
GeForce 3 benches
Shacknews has dug up some first benchmarks of the GeForce3 on a 1GHz P3. Impressive, especially with all the special effects turned on.
I'm sorry, there's another JC post
MacWEEK has posted another article on John Carmack, namely his negative comments on Slashdot after the keynote. Now he confirms the postings, however he also does turn it a bit different, a bit more correct shall we say.
750 CXe relaunched
MacWorld UK notes that IBM has relaunched its PPC 750CXe chip for use in embedded computer systems. And also Macs (although I've read different things there) according to MacWorld and also MacWEEK. Whatever the case may be, if IBM keeps supporting the PPC, it's nto a dying platform at all. (Unlike someone said a while ago (not mentioning any names))
Disc Burner update
MacCentral notes that Apple has released an update for its DiscBurner Softwre to support more drives, namely the ones that are now supported by iTunes 1.1. Still the suckers still don't support mine! (Ok, I don't have OS 9.1 either)
