Apple offers trade-in rebate
Apple
is now offering up to 400$ rebate on a PowerBook G3 400 (FireWire), if you trade in your old PowerBook 190 or 5300. Given the 5300 is almost useless these days, this is probably a very nice option for all those who still have one of these. I'd like to see that program apply for the 1400 as well:)

733MHz G4 dilemma

picks up the hot topic of G4 733MHz machines currently seeming to be slower than even a 533MHz G4 wit the old 7400/7410 chip. They're not sure where the problem lies either, but it also looks like a software problem to them. Now what we really need is an official Apple statement, it's about time.
