iTunes crack
xlr8yourmac
has gotten a tip from a reader how you can make iTunes support your CD-RW drive, even if it is not supported officially. However, that doesn't mean it will necessarily work after that. There is also a report on G4 667MHz performance, after only 733 machines have been tested before.

Speed bumps
MOSR
has some mroe news on possible solutions for future PowerBooks G4 going faster than 600MHz (one being Apollo chips, the other being MP configurations) and notes that the 7450 chip is finally starting to scale a bit better and that a speed bump up to 866MHz might be feasible until Summer, with 1GHz appearing shortly after.

Deus Ex MP patch available
MacCentral
notes that the multiplayer patch for Deus Ex has finally arrived and is being hosted exclusively by Apple itself (cool isn't it). I guess the first mirrors are up already though. The patch is 35MB and is a recommended download for everybody who calls Deus Ex their own.

IMG
has been talking to Westlake Interactive about their plans on carbonizing existing games for Mac OS X. They say they're going to do it, if it's worth the work and if it makes sense in the technical way of things.

Sun buying Apple?
MacCentral
reports that some "analysts" are again seeing some LSD visions of companies buying out Apple. This time Sun Microsystems seems to be the lucky one, or maybe it was just a bright day when they swallowed their pills, who knows.
