IBMs new chips

xlr8yourmac has, among other interesting bits, posted a link to a page decribing some future IBM plans concerning the PPC chip family. Once again I'm pointing my finger out at a game developer who dared say "the PPC is a dying platform anyway". Yeah sure, Mr. S.

Mac OS X cracking

Slashdot notes that people are already starting to discuss the likelihood of hackers and crackers starting to "develop" for Mac OS X, namely it's UNIX underpinnings. I just hope Apple did an equally good job with the security of Mac OS X as with the old Mac OS.

G5 rumors

MOSR reports that the first developmental G5 prototype machine have been spotted inside Apple labs and also notes they feature the new UMA-2 motherboard. There is also a note on a planned Mac OS X 10.0.2 update.
