Eight week's summary
The eight week was a "survival week". The whole company moved out into the woods and set up a camp with fences, guardposts and all that stuff and we sleep in tents and cooked over the fire for a week. We also had various marches, about 30 miles or so, my feet can tell you a story, I'm telling you... Then we also had some shooting exercises again, including burst fire for the first time. Interestingly enough you don't hit shit if you shoot burst fire the gun is pretty much out of control (at least if you're not used to it).
We also spent 6 hours in the chemical protection suit, including gas mask and all that stuff, I'm telling you, you wouldn't want to have change positions with me that day. It's hot as hell and you barely get enough air, you get a headache etc. A really ugly situation. But in the end I also got through that and now the really tough part of this military education is more or less over, the next 7 weeks will consist of repetition, some exercises and a few inspections, nothing I really have to be afraid of. But I still wish it was October 19.

New games
Shacknews
notes that several companies have announced new games at ECTS, among them Blizzard who just announced their online based MMORPG World of Warcraft. The good thing: it's certainly going to be an interesting game, the bad thing: there will be a monthly fee to play (as in EverQuest for example).
